Hosting is when you rent space on a server to store all your website files and data. We use professional hosting companies that give redundancy to your website files and deliver your website fast to visitors.

With a traditional web design agency, you work with concepts such as clients, servers, databases, data models, and HTML templating. You work in text documents, and it’s up to you to know what to type.

With HsvDesign, you can work in clicks, rather than code, and apply higher-level concepts such as “show this button”, “send an email”, and “turn this font color red.” We design your page using a visual editor.

Short answer, yes we can.

Long answer, we would like to set you up with your own hosting provider. If we host it for you, it ends up creating a single point of failure for your website.

Example: one of our first clients was a lady whose website was hosted by a friend of hers, who had his own server in his basement. That guy ended up having a stroke, and was incapacitated for months. In the meantime, no one else had access to that server, so her website was in limbo in the meantime.

The website we build you is 100% yours moving forward. You all can do what you want with it, including working with another agency. That’s how we have always done business and it works great.

Having an existing website is fantastic. You are ahead of the game. If you only need a few changes done on your website, we can make those updates without you having to pay for a whole redesign. We charge $100 for each hour. 1 hour minimum.

Tools like Squarespace, Wix, and Webflow let you build a website without knowing HTML or CSS. Most of these tools allow you to create different pages, upload images and media, create a blog, build a form, or set up a shopping cart. These tools generally don’t give you control over your websites flow and design, and instead offer templated solutions to common use cases. We do not use these website builders for this reason.

HsvDesign gives you complete control over exactly what happens on your website, at every level. Define custom categories of data, take actions such as sending an email or connecting to Facebook, and specifying situation-specific logic.

We prefer to use WordPress and WebFlow to build a majority of our websites. Website builders like Wix, Squarespace, Weebly, and others are ‘OK’ but they often limit you on SEO and customization, so we prefer to use WordPress.

The software powering your website is updated monthly, sometimes weekly, to give it more functionality, stability, and security. Technology is always changing. Stick with HsvDesign and you will always be up-to-date. Our website management packages offer this for free.

We accept payments in the form of check or credit/debit card.

We also do accept Venmo, Cash App, and PayPal.

We take 50% of project payment up-front and 50% of payment is made when the project is complete.

Our process starts with clean, lightweight code and optimized site architecture. We minimize unnecessary plugins, compress and properly size images, implement lazy loading, and use modern file formats such as WebP when appropriate. We also leverage caching, CDN integration, script deferment, and code minification to improve loading times across all devices.
